Chamber of Commerce Extends Best Wishes to Lenoir County Business

The Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce sent a Christmas card this week to Lenoir County’s businesses and industries with the hope that “local business and industry will emerge on the other side of current conditions stronger and more prosperous than ever before.”

In a resolution adopted by its executive committee, and endorsed by members of the Pride of Kinston’s board, the chamber said it “desires to place on the public record its gratitude to Lenoir County business and industry and to say thank you to owners, investors, employees and customers whose roles are indispensable to the economic, social and civic life of our great County.”

In acknowledging that “certain national dislocations” have negatively impacted some local jobs and economic opportunities, one chamber member said that the gesture is intended to demonstrate concern as well as appreciation and that business and industry leaders should feel that they “are not alone” during these times.

The full text of the Chamber's resolution of encouragement was published in the Christmas Eve edition of the Kinston Free Press.
